Fusion Reactor / Debug Presentation & My Scotch on the Rocks Pledge!
2007 April 18
Well with Scotch on the Rocks being only 6 weeks away I guess I should do a preview on my Presentations, so I guess I will start with Fusion Reactor / Fusion Debug, before I start I would be interested in those coming which they are more interested in, as I only have 45 Minutes, the question is which one do I spend 20 minutes on and which one I spend 25 minutes on. So please leave a comment and let me know where the interest is.Ok so as Stated above there isn't going to be a lot of time to show you the whole ins and outs it would also be useful to know what level they would like me to cover Fusion Reactor, as this is the bigger of the two. I have to say it has saved my arse a few times over the last few months at my new company telling me when out server was about to fall over and when requests where taking longer than they should have etc, and the string replace meat to change the copyright year without having to touch any code.
No for Fusion Debug, this has saved me so much time, while debugging a Flash Frontend calling CFC's using a mixture of MACH-II and Pure ColdSpring (an Architecture I didn't create, I'd tie the two closer together then they currently are but time is tight at the mo). Every time I find more and more gems with it. If you not using it yet because you think it's too daunting don't worry, it's really easy to get to grips with its just understanding when to step in, step over, step return, continue or just terminate; and of course we can't forget the gotchas caught by a few people.
I have one over pledge to make about Scotch on the Rocks, as it's by developers for developers and with helping Stephen and Andy out and knowing we are almost at the 3 quarters of the way for selling out I make this pledge:
Ticket Numbers 75 & 100 will receive 25 GBP from me (21.80 GBP + 3.20 GBP PayPal Cost) So that means for two lucky attendees it will only cost them 63.20 GBP for the two days packed of fun, or if you pay by bank transfer its means it only costs you 60 GBP come on people let's get behind them.So you have no excuse in not buying a ticket now! | View count: 65
